Christmas Sing Along in the Community Garden
You might spot our Charity Director, Debbie, in full Christmas Elf attire in the pictures above! On Friday 22nd December, FACE joined with Filton Community Garden for Christmas Carols and songs with some of our Friday coffee morning regulars and the wider community. We enjoyed a lovely sing song and getting into the Christmas Spirit.
Our Christmas Fayre
Our Christmas Fayre raised over £600! Thank you to everyone who attended and to our volunteers who made the event happen. Stalls included: homemade cakes, children’s clothes, raffles, a tombola, a toy tombola. For our younger attendees there was also plenty to do including: games and pick and wrap a present for a loved one.
Special thanks also to Helen Webster and her employer, Lloyds Bank, Helen volunteered in the games room and arranged for Lloyds Bank Foundation to match fund the amount raised in the games room. Lloyd Bank Foundation donated £120.
The Filtones donate to FACE as their chosen charity of the year 2023.
Local choir, The Filtones, have named us at FACE their Charity of the year. As part of this, their concerts throughout the year including their Christmas concert raised a total of £430 for us! At FACE we are so grateful for the donation, and we will use it to support our continued Youth and Community work.
Frampton Senior Youth Club cooks their own Christmas meal.
At FACE we pride ourselves on our young people taking the lead, and consulting them on what activities we provide for them. Our senior club at Frampton wanted to make their own Christmas Dinner the youth work team thought this was a great idea, an opportunity for them to develop their planning, organising and cooking skills. Over a couple of weeks at their club, they planned, prepared and cooked themselves their very own Christmas Meal. Our seniors, weren’t all comfortable having their faces in public posts, so we have blurred them out, but they did want to show you all what a great time they had so here they are along with some of their creations.
