World Bee Day

World Bee Day is a good opportunity to pause and appreciate some of the smallest but most important members of our environment. Bees might seem insignificant, but the role they play in supporting our ecosystems is enormous.

Without bees and other pollinators, many of the plants, fruits, and flowers that we rely on simply wouldn’t thrive. They help keep the natural world healthy, balanced, and full of life – sometimes without us even noticing.

World Bee Day is also a reminder that caring for the environment doesn’t always have to involve huge changes. Small actions can make a real difference. Planting wildflowers, leaving parts of gardens to grow naturally, reducing pesticides, or even taking a moment to notice and appreciate the wildlife around us can help create spaces where bees can flourish.

At FACE, we know how important the outdoors can be for wellbeing too. Spending time in nature and simply slowing down enough to appreciate the world around us can have a positive impact on both our mental and physical health.

Many of our sessions encourage young people to connect with nature in fun and practical ways – whether that’s making seed bombs, spending time outdoors together, or learning more about the environment through creative activities.

Just like bees support the world around them, small acts of kindness, care, and community support can help people thrive too.

So today, we’re celebrating bees, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting the world that we all share.
